Antaris™ Announces New Contract with Space Development Agency (SDA) to Continue Development of Digital FlatSats
The project will deliver “virtual” satellites designed to facilitate mission validation, testing, and high-fidelity simulation.
Los Altos, California, August 6, 2025 - Antaris™, the leading software platform for space missions, today announced a new contract with the Space Development Agency (SDA) to expand its work using Antaris TrueTwin™ to create digital FlatSats for SDA space vehicles. Building on an initial contract awarded in 2024, this initiative is part of Antaris’ broader push toward Full Mission Virtualization™, which lets operators simulate and test satellite operations without the high costs and logistics of traditional hardware FlatSats.
The virtualization of FlatSats is powered by Antaris TrueTwin™, a next-generation digital twinning technology that incorporates flight and subsystem software to simulate complete satellite systems in a high-fidelity environment. By including all satellite subsystems and their software, TrueTwin™ replicates the same behaviors, functions, and attributes that on-orbit systems will experience—providing a robust environment for the simulation and operation of satellite constellations.
Organizations and governments that are interested in trying Antaris TrueTwin™ to design, test, and simulate a satellite or constellation should inquire with Antaris at https://www.antaris.space/.
